You do not have to arrive knowing how to read music or having taken private lessons. Chorus is a class where those skills are taught—and where new students quickly find community.
How to join

Choose chorus
During course registration, tell your counselor you want a vocal music or chorus course. Beginning placement does not require previous high-school chorus experience.

Confirm placement
If you already have choral experience and want intermediate placement, contact Ms. Dickens and follow the current registration guidance. Advanced placement may require an audition.

Show up ready
Your voice is your instrument. Bring a willingness to participate, listen, practice, and support the people singing beside you.
What you can expect
- Daily singing and ensemble rehearsal
- Healthy vocal technique and music-reading skills
- Required performances outside the school day
- A formal concert uniform
- Traditions including concerts and Singing Valentines
Schedules and requirements vary by ensemble and school year. The director provides the current details before each commitment.
